Shanghai PengPu PD320Y-1 track type bulldozer is a product of PengPu Machine Building Plant, which design and manufacture technology is solely imported from D155A-1 track type bulldozer of Komatsu Ltd., Japan in China and also is a product manufactured under license of Komatsu Ltd., Japan Since 1979 PengPu Machine Building Plant has started importing manufacture technology and all kinds of staffs have been trained more than 40 man-times in Japan. During trail-manufacture the technical guide is frequently carried out by Japanese partner in our plant. So the entire manufacture process of Shanghai PD320Y-1 bulldozer is completely carried out according to technical specification and standard of Komatsu Ltd., Japan, including material, standard parts, hydraulic parts, seals and heat treatment etc. In 1983 the D155A-1 bulldozer manufactured by PengPu Machine Building Plant has been cooperatively checked by both Chinese and Japanese partners and all its performance index has reached the level of similar product of Komatsu Ltd., Japan. The cooperation between PengPu Machine Building Plant and Komatsu Ltd., Japan is Long-term. Therefore, when any modification of the bulldozer is made by Komatsu Ltd., Japan, the synchronous modification is also made by PengPu Machine Building Plant. So the commonality and interchangeability of parts between the PD320Y-1 bulldozer and the D155A-1 bulldozer of Komatsu Ltd., are guaranteed. During manufacture of Shanghai PD320Y-1 bulldozer a lot of advanced equipments are imported at the same time in order to guarantee manufacture quality, for example: Toshiba horizontal machining center (Japan), SCHARMANN machining center (Germany), SACEM machining center (Spain), heat treatment polypurpose furnace (Japan), HOFLER hobbing machine, KLINGEL NBERG hob grinder (Germany), KLINGEL NBERG gear complex tester, PFAUTER hard flank hobbing machine (Germany), CATLCLOOS robot welder (Germany), ESAB numerical control cutting machine and ESAB photoelectric cutting machine (Germany). Shanghai PD320Y-1 bulldozer is torqflow-mechanical transmission type of bulldozer. Dynamic generated by diesel engine is transmitted to impeller of torque converter via flywheel and the impeller makes turbine of the torque converter turn via hydraulic flow. Then the dynamic is transmitted to power shift transmission via turbine shaft and universal joint and turned into both right and left vertical driving forces via small bevel gear at transmission and bevel gear at bevel gear shaft. Steering clutches installed at two ends of bevel gear shaft are used to disconnect and connect the dynamic of final drive, to which transmitted by bevel gear shaft (Steering clutch case is acted as brake drum of brake at the same time). Finally, sprockets of final drive (spur gear 2-stage transmission) drive tracks of bulldozer to complete entire dynamic transmission.
